I’m Emma Weisman, an active catalyst for systemic change and cultural innovation.

My work challenges neoliberal paradigms, leveraging creativity, community, and emerging technologies to address pressing global issues. With over two decades of experience in social enterprise and nonprofit leadership and governance, I’ve dedicated my career to reimagining how we approach social challenges, taking a hands-on approach at every stage.

From co-founding an international disaster response network to championing education for Mayan girls, my projects focus on platforming communities left out of traditional power structures, and fostering ecosystems for sustainable, equitable solutions to arise. My involvement with Burning Man, both as a participant and in leadership roles, has further shaped my approach to community-building and radical self-expression. This experience has reinforced my belief in the power of conviviality and co-learning as vital elements in lasting social change.

I specialize in developing innovative governance models and knowledge management systems that prioritize collective wisdom over market-driven approaches, often integrating AI and other emerging technologies to amplify impact. My work with Burning Man’s organizational and network structure has provided valuable insights into alternative models of governance and community participation.

As a non-practicing attorney, I bring a unique perspective to organizational strategy and policy development. My hands-on approach ensures that I’m deeply involved in every aspect of my work, from conceptualization to implementation. My goal is to create spaces—both physical and conceptual—where radical ideas can flourish and transform into tangible social impact.

I believe in the power of art and culture as tools for resistance and reimagination. Through my work, I strive to cultivate environments where creativity becomes a force for dismantling oppressive structures and building more just, vibrant, regenerative communities. By leveraging AI and emerging technologies, I aim to enhance these efforts and create more innovative solutions.
